How do I always seem to end up in these situations? Having to decide how to begin can be such a bane, such a pain and makes my eyes rain! Naurrr, but seriously… introductions are usually awful, let’s be fair!
Anyway, I’m Justin and I created mOstro TCG! For the longest time I’ve just been casually selling on eBay in order to create a quick quid! But honestly I actually liked “playing shop” so last year I began plans to create a brand to encapsulate some of my core interests. I’ve been an active Pokémon Trainer since 1996, collecting the Trading Cards, the figures, plushies and manga etc. And like many others I also became a Shiny Hunter, attempting to stream on Twitch and upload videos on YouTube, though I found this stressful… not the shiny hunting part, I loved that. But the actual streaming, being present for the world to see… Yikes!
So I decided that I would shift focus and think of something to ground my future in something I could enjoy and sink my teeth into, Trading Cards! As I mentioned I’ve collected Pokémon Cards since the early days of Wizards of the Coast as well as the animated series cards. But with that I also collected the Digimon Digi-Battle Cards. Over time I discovered that people were actually getting their collections graded and safely secured for future preservation… now this was amazing to me! So I began doing this too. But with that I kept striving for perfection, ouch! Is their really such a thing? Apparently so, the GEM MINT Grade 10!!
…and just like that, mOstro TCG wrote itself… I would sell Graded Trading Cards, seeking out the best cards and making them available for other collectors to enjoy too. It’s so exciting to look back at the cards that have been printed and think, let’s preserve this. I’ve found I have more of an interest in the earlier sets, more so than the newer ones. But this won’t stop me, if the card gets my attention, it’s gotta be included in the collection!
For now I’ll be focusing on gaining a following with the knowledge I have of Pokémon and Digimon. But as I expand I’ll be including other series such as Yu-Gi-Oh!, Monster Rancher, Dragonball Z etc.
My plan is to create a conversation along the way, so here you’ll find updates for latest acquisitions and submission results. Plus chances to get your hands on new slabs before they become listed.
